Kendal Tipper

I am a registered Mental Health Nurse, having qualified in 2011 with a diploma from the University of Wolverhampton. My career began as a staff nurse on an acute psychiatric inpatient unit in central Birmingham. I later transitioned to the community, working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) within the crisis team. In 2014, I completed a degree in Psychological Interventions, which supported my progression into the role of Crisis Team Manager. In 2018, I achieved my Independent Prescribing qualification through the University of Birmingham.

Following this, I carried out frontline assessments for a Single Point of Access service as well as within a private GP surgery. I expanded my therapeutic skills by completing clinical hypnosis training at Birmingham City University, along with qualifications in EMDR, mindfulness teaching, and positive psychology coaching. My leadership journey continued as I became the Mental Health Lead for the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

I furthered my academic qualifications with a Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice from the University of Birmingham, and undertook additional training in Healthcare Leadership at Coventry University. In 2024, I launched my first wellbeing retreat, trained in acupuncture and head massage, and successfully opened my own clinic, bringing together a wide range of therapeutic approaches to support holistic mental health and wellbeing.
